At Buddhi Threads, each piece of clothing tells a story. From the design to the craftsmanship, every detail is created with love, intention, and artistry. The journey behind each garment is shaped by the incredible hands of our creators—artisans, tailors, and designers—who bring these beautiful pieces to life.
One of our exceptional artisans is Sufiyan, a master of Ajrakh block printing, a technique passed down through generations in his family. Based in Gujarat, Sufiyan’s work blends cultural heritage with modern design. Ajrakh involves hand-carving intricate patterns onto wooden blocks and dyeing fabrics using natural and organic materials. Sufiyan’s expertise is showcased in our signature Banjari, Ahaana, and Riyal collections [link to collection pages]. Each of these collections is a tribute to Sufiyan’s artistry and the enduring beauty of Ajrakh.
We are also proud to work with a social enterprise in Karnataka, led by Padmini, which has earned the prestigious NEST Seal of Approval. This seal is awarded to artisan organisations that meet high standards for ethical production, fair trade practices, and environmental sustainability. Padmini’s team creates beautiful hand-block-printed fabrics using Global Organic textile standard dyes on Organic Cotton, ensuring that each piece is eco-friendly and unique. Their stunning work is featured in our Jude collection [link to collection page], combining ethical integrity with beautiful craftsmanship.
Our talented team of tailors, led by Shivangi in Karnataka, India, brings each design to life with precision and care. Shivangi’s team is dedicated to crafting garments that prioritise comfort and quality, ensuring that every piece is stitched with attention to detail. Whether it’s stitching our organic cotton loungewear or adding delicate finishing touches, their expertise guarantees that each item not only looks beautiful but is also made to last.
Our tailors work by hand, carefully cutting, sewing, and finishing each garment. They focus on ensuring a perfect fit and soft texture, so every piece feels luxurious and comfortable against the skin.
Angela Knight, the founder of Buddhi Threads, is the creative mind behind our loungewear line. With her extensive experience as a yoga teacher and meditation guide, Angela’s commitment to wellness and conscious living inspires everything we do. Her vision for Buddhi Threads reflects her values of sustainability, ethical production, and mindful living. Angela ensures that every garment aligns with the brand’s ethos of conscious craftsmanship, from choosing organic cotton to selecting Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS) dyes, and collaborating with artisans who share her passion for quality and integrity.
All our creators—Angela, Sufiyan, Padmini’s team of artisans, and Shivangi’s tailors—are committed to sustainable practices. We use organic and natural dyes, which are gentle on the skin and environmentally friendly. The processes used by our artisans, such as natural dyeing and hand block printing, minimize water consumption and avoid harmful chemicals, making each piece of Buddhi Threads loungewear a sustainable choice for conscious consumers.
By working with small artisan communities and ensuring fair and ethical working conditions, we support fair trade practices and empower our artisans to continue their craft with pride. Every purchase from Buddhi Threads sustains these traditional practices and supports artisans in preserving their heritage.
At Buddhi Threads, we are more than just a brand—we are a community of creators, thinkers, and dreamers working together to bring you beautiful, consciously made loungewear. Each garment you purchase reflects our shared commitment to quality, sustainability, and craftsmanship. We are proud to collaborate with artisans like Sufiyan and the talented team led by Padmini, and tailors like Shivangi’s team, who pour their passion and expertise into every piece.
When you wear Buddhi Threads, you’re not just supporting ethical fashion—you’re wearing a story woven by hands that preserve traditional craftsmanship while embracing modern, sustainable living.
